My family spans 4 generations as Whatcom County residents. My work experience includes 38 years in the fishing industry, as owner/operator, of a successful commercial fishing supply company and commercial fisherman. The company was based in Bellingham and had nine stores in Washington and Alaska.

With a partner, we developed two Whatcom County golf courses, Shuksan and Loomis Trail. I then developed a unique residential complex within a local golf course community. I have been a realtor in the Whatcom county area for the past 7 years.

My community interests include being a member of the Bellingham Rotary for the past 8 years. I am a past President and present Board member of the Bellingham Technical College Foundation; and a previous board member of the Western Washington University Foundation.

I am blessed with a lovely wife of 43 years, two beautiful married daughters and one very special granddaughter. I enjoy golfing, sport fishing, boating and spending time with my family.
