Buying my property on the island in 1995, building an island house and making the transition to live here full time has been a wonderful adventure for me. I believe in this place, this community and the lifestyle possible here, and I’m committed to helping you find or sell whatever might be your island dream, whether it be a home, a business, an investment or all three.

My 35 year career has also been a great journey and I find that all of the skills and experience I’ve gained through being a social worker (listening and communication skills), a Master’s prepared health care administrator (analysis and management skills), a business broker (analysis, negotiation and sales skills), and a real estate investor (real estate experience) have been perfect preparation for my present real estate career.

I own a home I built, a business I started, and investment real estate on the island and I look forward to sharing all of the lessons I’ve learned about how to accomplish successful acquisitions and divestitures of each of these types of properties. Part of my transition has been to move my Seattle Real Estate investments to the island via 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges, an excellent method for relocating your real estate investments and deferring your tax liabilities to a later date. Lastly, I am deeply involved in this caring community as a graduate of Leadership San Juan Islands, president of the Board for the San Juan Community Home Trust for affordable housing, and a member of Soroptimist’s of Friday Harbor, a women’s service organization. I enjoy all the pleasures of island life: time with friends, volunteering, kayaking, yoga, and hiking with Ella, my Jack Russell Terrier.
